The HubSpot CRM is a powerhouse.  HubSpot is a cloud-based CRM designed to help align sales and marketing teams, foster sales enablement, boost ROI and optimize your inbound marketing strategy to generate more qualified leads. US News & World Report ranked it #2 in Best Free CRM Software and #4 in the Best CRM Software of 2021.

What is a CRM?

CRM stands for customer relationship management. As its name suggests, CRM Software is a system for managing relationships with your prospects and customers.  Think of it as a rolodex (remember those?) crossed with a spreadsheet crossed with a ledger and sprinkled with a megaphone.

A CRM allows businesses of all sizes to drive growth and profits.  Yes, they are primarily designed for sales, marketing, and service, but many house other components as well to help their users manage relationships between team members, vendors, partners, and collaborators.

What are the Benefits of a good CRM?

1. Improves Customer Service

A CRM manages all your contacts and builds customer profiles so that all team members are able to have information on customer behavior like previous communications and previous purchases, enabling team members to address issues directly without the client having to go back to square one and fill in team members.

2. Increase in Sales

Streamlining and improving the sales process, building a sales pipeline, automating tasks, and analyzing your sales data will inevitably lead to one outcome—increased sales and sales productivity.

3. Customer Retention

It is well known that it is more efficient to keep clients than to constantly find new ones.  By giving you access to analytic tools, your team can use its CRM to understand why clients leave so that you are better able to identify problems and hit them head on.

4. Better Analytics

Analytical CRM tools make your data available, intelligible, and relevant to your business needs. All your heaps of sales data, finance data, and marketing data flow into CRM to become visible metrics, with data warehousing and data mining there to make sense of everything.

5. Efficiency

Having all your day-to-day business functions in one place makes for better workflow, easier collaboration between team members, and better project management. Task automation eliminates many administrative tasks so that your team can do what it does best: interact with people.

6. Transparency

An effective CRM helps your business by assigning tasks and delineating exactly who is doing what and who is helping whom. A CRM allows everyone in your organization to see exactly what everyone else on the team is working on with relative ease.

To make a long story short: everyone who works with customers or vendors can benefit from the use of a CRM.

All businesses, from solo freelance operations to massive corporations, require systems in place to help them organize contacts, track task management, and use automation tools that can help them work more efficiently.

As more and more companies adopt remote work, especially, the ability to keep all customer data in one centralized location that can be accessed by all team members is vital.  If the Underhill file is on Sally from accounting’s desk, how will Bob in sales be able to meet the needs of Underhill?  But if all of that information is housed in a cloud-based CRM, Sally can check on to see if Underhill’s billing is correct and Bob can track what all services Underhill is using at the same time and Underhill is better served.

An easy to adapt and dynamic CRM can give businesses an edge. Automation will allow your organization to better serve its customers by eliminating repetitive tasks so you can better play to your strengths and get down to business.

Why HubSpot?

With the HubSpot CRM, no more will contacts be spread across platforms or desks.  With HubSpot’s easy to use CRM, they are available to all parts of your organization, complete with information about where they are in the buyer’s journey.

Your clients can tell when everyone on your team isn’t on the same page. The HubSpot CRM provides context to every member of your team about your customer’s needs, current place in the buyer’s journey, so that each member can hand off to each other seamlessly.  It helps bridge the often treacherous gap between sales and marketing, making sure that the customer and her pain points remain in the center.

HubSpot’s focus on growth also helps teams better identify their target markets with their buyer persona generator. This helps businesses develop effective strategies to match their ideal customers’ preferences in order to maximize sales. A buyer persona is a detailed fictionalized representation of a company’s ideal customer.  It takes your ideal customer out of the abstract and makes them personal. By creating thoughtful buyer personas, businesses gain the ability to tailor their offers and growth strategies to meet the demands of their target market.

The free version of HubSpot has some pretty robust inbound marketing tools. Features for managing workflows beef up your project management. It’s also easy to assign and track leads, monitor the sales process, and record customer interactions across all channels.

HubSpot is designed to work with both G Suite and Microsoft Office, so it’ll work for you regardless of your developer allegiance.

The paid versions of HubSpot are not exactly cheap, but they do add key features like reporting, AI assistance, and advanced automation. Depending on what you want your CRM suite to focus on, there are separate packages for Marketing, Sales, and Service starting at $50 a month each. The all-inclusive Growth Suite starts at $113 a month.

The MPWRSource Squad can help onboard and train you to use HubSpot’s FREE CRM (free is our favorite price). Amongst the Squad, we have 23 HubSpot certifications.
