MPWRSource Return to Work Priorities, Policies, and Procedures

In Virginia, we are in Phase 1 of reopening up the economy.  At the time of this writing, we hope, as a Commonwealth, to continue to flatten the curve of Coronavirus cases and enter Phase II of reopening mid-June.  But for now, we are set in Phase One.

As a company, MWPRSource’s priority is the safety and well-being of its employees and clients.  For us, this means the following safety protocols have been put into place:

  • If an employee is sick, he or she must not come into work or visit clients.
  • When an employees’ job can be adequately done from home, he or she will continue to telework.
  • External visits and/or meetings with clients may occur, but only if it cannot be handled in another manner (phone call, email, video call).
  • Screening protocols for entry into workplaces will be utilized and those with a fever over 99.8 will be asked to return home until such time as they have been fever-free without medicine for 72 hours.
  • We will practice social distancing where possible, including suspended use of the conference room and shared work areas as well as rotating in office workdays, if needed.
  • Employees are required to use good hand hygiene which means adequate hand washing and use of hand sanitizer.
  • All in office work areas will have cleaning supplies and are to be wiped down prior to and after each use.
  • Each employee will be given a hygiene kit that includes PPE for when work must be conducted at a client site. This includes masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer.
  • Above all else, each employee has the right to determine what situations they are comfortable in, particularly if visiting a client who does not adhere to the same protocols as MPWRSource. Our mantra is: WHEN IN DOUBT, HEAD OUT.

Because Governor Northam has mandated the wearing of face coverings while in public settings, we here at MPWRSource expect all employees to follow the law. At a later date, if this mandate is repealed, we still encourage employees to utilize face coverings in all instances of coming to work or client meetings.

When Virginia enters Phase II of re-openings, MPWRSource will continue to keep its employees and clients’ health and safety a top priority.  We will continue to monitor the Governor’s decisions and follow the Commonwealth’s recommendations while attempting to create a new normal that is safe and productive.

As always, we intend to evolve as needed.
