MPWRSource Offers Free Resources to Small Businesses and Healthcare Practices and Has Dinners Delivered from Local Restaurants to Employees to Show Appreciation and to Help
First, MPWRSource, LLC, partnered with its’ sister companies, ProActive Information Management, LLC (PIM) and CentraVance Consulting, LLC, to offer a variety of resources, free and deeply discounted, to small businesses and healthcare practices. Tiffany Joy Greene, M.B.A., Chief Growth Officer of MPWRSource, LLC, stated, “Things are changing quickly due to this global pandemic, and businesses and healthcare practices are being forced to adapt, which means remote work for many. In times of crisis, working together and supporting each other and our communities is of paramount importance. MPWRSource wants do its’ part.”
Many small businesses and healthcare practices are not equipped for remote work, so MPWRSource worked with ProActive Information Management, LLC, to offer many free or low-cost resources and services to get small businesses and healthcare up and running from home offices.
Dennis Kao, owner of ProActive Information Management, stated, “Many clients are needing conference bridges, Teams, and virtual private networks. We can do that quickly. We can get them running with Office 365 Teams and SharePoint. We’ll create the SharePoint site for free and give them a brief training on how to use SharePoint and Teams. Additionally, we are offering a discount on the Microsoft Office 365 license fee. We will only charge $10.00 per month per user, with a minimum of five users. Luckily, most of my clients are not in the most vulnerable industries to this pandemic, right now, but as a small business owner, I know the stress and anxiety that many small businesses are experiencing. Anything I can do to help, I will.”
Additionally, MPWRSource has put together a COVID-19 Resources page on their website, https://mpwrsource.com/insights/covid-19-resources/. They created a variety of free resources, like blog posts, infographics, templates, links, offers, and other resources. The resources cover a wide variety of topics, including communications, telework, compliance, and technology. Checklists for crisis preparedness and voicemail and email templates for healthcare offices can be found there.
Soon, you will find more resources, which will include topics, such as, human resources, security, asset management, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans. Small businesses and healthcare practices are invited to email EvolveTogether@MPWRSource.com with communications, IT, human resources, compliance, security, disaster recovery, and marketing questions. They have a team of experts who will reply within 48 hours. If they don’t have the answer, they will point you in the right direction.
Greene wanted to do more. “We are all in this together. We all want to slow down the spread of COVID-19 and flatten the curve. Practicing social distancing is important for our employees, clients and community, so we enacted a remote work policy at the beginning of the week. We wanted to acknowledge the hard work of our staff, many of whom are balancing children and family at home. Helping to relieve stress for employees is crucial, so we decided to take care of one meal for our employees and families. We dubbed it “Do Right Dinner”.”
Acknowledging employees while relieving a bit of stress, if only for a moment, was important, but Greene wanted to do something more impactful. She wanted to help some of the small businesses that are being hit the hardest, like restaurants. Grub Hub gift cards were purchased for all of the employees, with a simple request, “Please help a small business like ours. Please order from a locally owned restaurant.”
Elizabeth J. Phillips, Content Developer from MPWRSource, said, “As a single mom who suddenly finds herself not only working full time but also homeschooling, having at least one thing taken care of for me was monumental. I mean who doesn’t love free food?”
Thirty dinner orders were made Friday night for employees from MPWRSource, ProActive Information Management, and CentraVance Consulting. Hopefully, those dinners relieved a bit of “getting dinner on the table” stress for the employees and their families, as well as helping to keep local restaurants open. As the social distancing trend continues, perhaps this is one thing that small business owners can do for other small business owners.
